Please Explain, if You Know

Republicans/Conservatives clearly see foreign nations as the biggest threat to the US.  Democrats constantly criticize them for that.

But why do Democrats seem to see US citizens as the biggest threat to the US?

    That’s news to me.

“Republicans/Conservatives clearly see foreign nations as the biggest threat to the US”

That sounds about right. The current Republican party dispensation is inclined towards machismo, bluff and bluster and lots of juvenile posturing. So you have wheezing and coughing Fred Thompson acting as macho man.

  3. I think I know this one, as I find myself struggling with the same urges, at least locally.

People in large groups are dangerous, as they have a higher chance of making mistakes. And they are also more difficult to control.

I believe a wise man once said, “The Masses are Asses.” and liberty is a dangerous thing.

Both parties try to curb liberty which they think is dangerous (and I agree, the Democrats/Liberals are more frequent offenders)
Conservatives prefer to curb liberty on social issues (Abortion, Pornography, Explicit Language, Marriage, Flag Burning, etc.)
Liberals prefer to curb liberty on economic issues (Taxes, Tarrifs, Education [forcing people to spend money on education through taxes, because they will not do it on their own], Health Care [forcing people to have health care, because they will not do it on their own], Welfare [forcing citizens to take care of their neighbor, because they will not do it on their own]. Gun Control, Social Security [forcing people to save for their retirement because they will not do it on their own], etc.)

What really clued me in, on this, was the $200 Cash Cards that were given to Welfare Families in New York for the purpose of buying school supplies for their childrens.
As a Conservative, I’ve argued that people know how to spend their money better than the government.
But these welfare families proved me wrong, because they bought Televisions and Game Consoles with the cash.

See what I mean? The Masses are Asses.

End Nanny State-ism from both sides – the liberal and the conservative.
