I am not happy Barack Obama is our President, and I think he’s made numerous blunders, mistakes, errors, and bad decisions that make our nation less safe, less strong, less free, and less content.

But it does bother me that other than one reference right at the beginning to President Obama’s title, this article refers to him as “Mr. Obama” thereafter.  As best I understand it, that’s flat out wrong and disrespectful to the Office.

I don’t like President Obama. I didn’t vote for him. I wish he weren’t our President, because I think the economy and international relations would be going better if McCain were President…

…but he’s still our President. Our President.

That deserves all the respect we should give him. The same respect we would owe George Washington, or Abraham Lincoln, or JFK.

  2. I understood that, completely. I disagree, but if I was on the other side (if McCain would have been elected), I would hope that I would feel/act the same way…

Yes, Sarah Palin and John McCain would get all that mavericky energy in there and all of America’s problems would be solved. They would also invent a car that would run on water.

But we wouldn’t be giving away trillions of taxpayer dollars to only the banks that gave all those campaign contributions to mostly Democrats, especially President Obama, Dodd and Franks.

McCain would have signaled that if you earn more money, you’d be able to keep it. Maybe with further tax cuts, or maybe with a simplified tax plan. That would give incentive to the heart of the economy: small business owners and skilled workers.

      Here’s a test for you:
What did President Obama say got us into the bad economy during the campaign? Deficit spending.
What is he doing now? Deficit spending.

Has there been any explanation of how Democrat deficit spending is somehow less damaging to the nation when it is 3x that of the Horrible, Evil Republican deficit spending?

Man! I was just making a joke about your post. Honestly Obama should legalize it and that. And tax both. One would (guaranteed) earn a lot in taxes and revenue generated from tourism. And the other would earn a lot in taxes, tourism and not to mention reduce the income gap between men and women. You can guess what I am talking about 🙂
Those two could easily fund the deficit.

I lack a sense of humor when it comes to political discussions. [shrug]

…just another reason I wish I could break my addiction to politics.

You should take it easy. Can get carried away with feelings of anger and despair.
Besides, I always tell myself that I am only one dude. Neither rich or powerful.
I would add that my reading of the current situation and leadership is not as dire as yours.
