Thoughts on “Holiday Trees”

Inspired by Jeff Goldberg’s article:

If “Christmas” is offensive, then isn’t holiday just as offensive, implying that that day is a “Holy Day”.  Because no days are Holy to atheists, and December 24th/25th isn’t Holy to most other religions, so merely by using the word holiday, you perpetuate any offense that “Christmas” may bring.

F’n’ idiots.

Bravo! Said this for years myself…

Of course the reverse is also true for those who get so ticked off over people who say “Happy Holidays” as opposed to “Merry Christmas.”

Truth is, a lot of folks just need to get a life.

  2. Too much offensensitivity in this world.
