My Apologies for Falling for a Hoax

The girl who said she was robbed and assaulted?

Hoax.  She admitted it.  Michelle Malkin has great instincts for this, as Mr. Steyn says in the first linked article.

I’m rather angry at the hoaxer.  Lying never helps.  Lying never works.   It was wrong, low class, low quality, dishonest, stupid, petty, counterproductive, immature, idiotic, unfair, ignorant, and all this does is provide more of an excuse for liberal-leaning news outlets to slant their bias even more toward Obama and against Republicans.

There are legitimate things to gripe about.  We don’t need idiots inventing fake hate crimes.

Personally, I’m embarrassed that I fell for it.  I guess sometimes one wants to believe the worst about some of one’s (ideological) opponents.

I apologize to all involved, and all who read the previous post on this.

I must commend you for “manning up” and being honest, more than a lot of people have done. Your apology was sincere and honest.

Very brave of you to admit your mistake – you could have been cowardly and just removed the post but you didn’t. Well done.

    I’m committed to the truth.

Well, and quickies behind dumpsters, but that’s been covered already.
