President Bush (43) Will Eventually be Recognized as One of Our Greatest Presidents

I fully support President Bush.  I have never wavered in my support of him. He was a great President, and a fine man.

His accomplishments will look even greater when compared to President Obama’s mistakes.

You don’t think they are blunders, miscues, mistakes?  Well, imagine if “President” Palin did everything President Obama has done. The press would be stumbling over themselves to criticize and call it the worst Presidential Administration of all time.

But President Obama gets not only a pass, but continued support, and press cover for his amateur bumbling.  It is very nearly criminal.

Wow! I didn’t know you did comedic blog posts as well.

      Trust me on this one.

Or answer me this: why is Obama breaking all his campaign promises to continue President Bush’s policies regarding War on Terror issues? Understand the answer to that one, and it will change your world outlook.

Exactly what campaign promises has Obama broken? Even including the war on terror? Why dont you answer that question so I may understand.
Could you explain why was George Bush Jr. such a great president? Whats the reason – Iraq, Afghanistan, Medicare expansion, Patriot Act, No Child Left Behind – What is it?
I can think of one thing – no terrorist attacks on US soil since 9/11. A couple of other minor achievements but besides that…nothing but an unmitigated disaster.

Is Guantanamo closed? Didn’t President Obama’s AG just say they might not close it at all within the year?
Didn’t President Obama continue President Bush’s policy on rendition?
Didn’t President Obama continue the wireless phone taps?
Didn’t President Obama just restart President Bush’s military tribunals?

You might not be familiar with some of these, because the press isn’t calling President Obama on them at all. They are giving him a free pass from criticism they would never give President Bush.

I’ve got to go to work, and you know I can’t access this at work, so I’ll give you a more detailed answer later.

In summary: everything regarding the War on Terror that President Obama criticized during the campaign, he has maintained since taking office.

If your sources are the ones you frequently site such as the Corner Blog or Pajamas media, that is the conclusion you would arrive to.
Anyhow, I will respond to your other blog post later in the day.

Is Guantanamo closed? Didn’t President Obama’s AG just say they might not close it at all within the year?
First of all, when did Obama say Guantanamo would close the day he took office? Can you find me such a quote or statement? Second, have you forgotten the one year executive order he signed to close it. One year isn’t up yet. So I will speak to you about this in 2010.
Didn’t President Obama continue President Bush’s policy on rendition?
No, He hasnt. This concerns a past case called Mohamed et al v Jeppesen Dataplan, Inc. Look it up. The Obama administration is simply maintaining the same position as the previous administration. In other words, protecting the previous administration’s behind world wide.
Didn’t President Obama continue the wireless phone taps?
    Granted.
Didn’t President Obama just restart President Bush’s military tribunals?
Yes, with more standards and procedures and not a banana court as under Bush.

Again, I will make the same point as my previous post. If National Review, Pajamas Media and right wing blogs are all that you are going to consult and link to, the reality you paint is not surprising. Except, that you are willfully blinding yourself to reality.
